Quality Care Matters

The Center for Dairy Excellence works with different organizations across Pennsylvania to support animal care initiatives on Pennsylvania's 7,400 dairy farms. The center is a supporter of the National Dairy F.A.R.M. initiative. Producers are encouraged to talk to their milk handler or procurement organization about the Dairy F.A.R.M. initiative and how they can enroll in that program.

The center joined Pennsylvania Beef Council to sponsor a series of columns in the Lancaster Farming called "Quality Care Matters," which offered advice on caring for animals on the farm. Copies of those columns, written by Rebecca Long Chaney.
