I want to find scholarship opportunities
Recognizing and rewarding leaders in our industry and in our dairy youth is essential to keeping a viable future for dairy in Pennsylvania. Several scholarship programs are available to help dairy youth and young dairy leaders grow their knowledge and skills.
Future Leader Scholarships
The Pennsylvania Dairymen's Association and the Center for Dairy Excellence offer a limited number of scholarships to attend the Pennsylvania Dairy Summit each year in February. The 2012 Summit will be held on Feb. 8 - 9 at the Lancaster Host Resort in Lancaster, Pa.
Applicants must be between the ages of 17 - 25 as of 02/01/2012 and must currently operate a dairy farm or be enrolled in an agricultural degree program at a college or trade school. Applicants must be residents of Pennsylvania or enrolled in college in Pennsylvania. Click on the Guidelines and Application Below.

Student Leader Scholarships
The Center for Dairy Excellence will continue offering the academic scholarships formerly from the Pennsylvania Dairy Stakeholders, making $5,000 available for the 2011 - 2012 academic year to directly support Student Leader Scholarships. Each scholarship has a value of $1,000. The purpose of these scholarships is to provide recognition, encouragement and financial assistance to outstanding students in academic programs that support the dairy industry.

Dairy Producer Scholarships
The Center for Dairy Excellence periodically offers scholarships for dairy producers to attend educational events. At this time, there are no scholarships being offered.
Other scholarship opportunities are available for young people demonstrating an interest in the dairy industry. Here are links to two scholarship programs:

-- Dairy and agricultural college students are eligible to apply for National Dairy Shrine recognition programs and scholarships with awards totaling over $30,000. Click here for more details.
