On-Farm Resource Teams
The Center for Dairy Excellence is pleased to provide continued support to help Pennsylvania dairy farms establish on-farm resource teams. Using the team approach
to make better business decisions or to troubleshoot a
problem area can lead to greater profitability and enhanced performance.
New funding levels and guidelines for the Center's on-farm resource team program have been established for 2010. Central to the new guidelines is an annual application process, in which both existing and new farms must enrolled to participate in the program.

Producer Testimonials:
Roy Beardslee, Lottahill Farms, Troy:
There were a lot of ideas that came out of our discussions. We also did walk-throughs of our facility, and team members gave us suggestions on how to do things a little bit better.
Don Risser, Meadow Vista Farms, Bainbridge:
The Profit Team provides another level of accountability to keep us challenged. They help set a direction and give us things to think about.
Tom and Brenda Pepper, Pepper’s Dairy, Roaring Branch:
Everyone takes responsibility together for solving a problem and moving forward toward a goal. Now there’s no more ‘passing the buck’ when things go wrong. Everyone’s held accountable.
